This complex fire protection electrical retrofit required fast-track engineering solutions to resolve severe code compliance and equipment sizing challenges under strict municipal oversight.

When an upgraded fire pump system required a motor sized 50 HP larger than the original equipment, existing conduit pathways were no longer sufficient. McGee Electrical Services engineered an approved solution using Mineral-Insulated (MI) fire-rated cable and installed a new NEMA-rated exterior disconnect to satisfy municipal code requirements.

Additionally, our team coordinated extensively with city inspectors to assist the facility through emergency power compliance, field UL evaluations, and final life-safety green-tag approval.
